Portraits

Portrait photography is about capturing the human spirit.

I feel, that through my portraits or headshots, I can convey a character and mood. I will look for something in the personality of the subject that can portray a message of that moment of time. These things can be conveyed in the sitter’s eyes, smile (or serious expression), pose, doing something, clothes, features and environment.

Headshots for film & TV casting, modeling, corporate and PR are a little different from portraits. It is about saying who you are while making the right appeal and connection to a wider audience. A good headshot can make a different in getting you noticed and stand out above others.

I prefer to photograph people in natural surroundings or with a plain backdrop using natural or available light. I try to get to know the sitter before starting the session. Usually last between 1 and 2 hours but I don't put a time limit on this. (In few cases I allowed 5 minutes with a subject!). I like to make it enjoyable for the person I am photographing and get the right results.
